Hello everyone
We are in Dinard, France this week and I don't think I have ever been anywhere more beautiful. The town is located on a peninsula and the coast is a beautiful scene of cliff coastline and turquoise water with lighthouses and rocky islands. Its amazing...that is when the weather is clear. We have been here for almost 4 days and just got to our host family's house last night. We are staying on a cliff overlooking the ocean. We have our own underground...apartment-like area; fridge, bathroom, 2 rooms. its nice to have a independent area. Our member hosts are so accommodating and nice! Having dinner with them tonight.
The golf course is right off the cliffs of the ocean and everything breaks towards it as well, the greens are small and fast and the wind can get up to 40/50 mph. It'll be a good test this week. I played about 14 holes today and shot 1 over, I'm hitting it well and am excited for thursday. hoping for good weather like today during the practice round. Tomorrow I am invited to play in the Pro-am and will be playing with local ams that are sponsoring the tournament.
We were really blessed with the housing situation this week and couldn't have thought of anything better. thank you Dinard golf!!! they have done an excellent job so far this week! the course is in great shape.
We are booking flights and trains this evening after dinner for our trip back to Scotland and then to turkey! constantly planning....but it will be nice to have dinner with the Kuhns and then relax for tomorrow.
Thanks again for giving me this opportunity. I miss all of you and hope you never take for granted what God has blessed you with :)
